Victory at Sea: HMS York
The HMS York heavy cruiser escorted convoys across the Atlantic and took part in the Norwegian campaign. Transferred to the Mediterranean theatre in late 1940 as an escort vessel, the York was attacked and sunk whilst in Suda Bay at Crete by explosive motorboats of the Italian Decima MAS in 1941.
