German Heer MG42 MMG Team (1943-45)
Known as "Hitler's Buzzsaw" on account of its high rate of fire, the MG42 provided tremendous firepower to German infantry. Also used as an infantry squad weapon in the light machine gun role, the MG42 could be tripod mounted provided a much more stable firing platform and a higher sustained rate of fire.
